The University of Cagliari (Aula Magna del Corpo Aggiunto Sa Duchessa, Facoltà di Studi Umanistici, Via is Mirrionis 1, 5.30 PM - 7.30 PM) will host the event on cyber security: Verso l'ultima frontiera della Sicurezza Cibernetica. The event is part of ECSM.

ECSM - European Cyber Security Month is a European Union advocacy campaign that takes place in October. ECSM aims to promote cyber security among citizens, to change their perception of cyber-threats and provide up to date security information, through education and sharing good practices.

After the success of the previous editions, the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari will hold the third edition of the school on computer security and privacy. Lecturers of the school are among the most distinguished computer security researchers and professionals: Marco Balduzzi (Trend Micro Research), Konrad Rieck (University of Göttingen, Germany), Stefano Zanero (Politecnico di Milano, Italy), Marco Morana (OWASP London chapter, UK), Srdjan Capkun (ETH Zurich, Switzerland), Matteo E. Bonfanti (Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, Italy), Karen Renaud (University of Glasgow, UK).
