Events 2013

After the success of the first edition, the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari will hold the second edition of the school on computer security and privacy. Lecturers of the school are among the most distinguished computer security researchers and professionals: Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi (Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany), Andrea Lanzi (Eurécom, Sophia Antipolis, France), Anthony D . Joseph (UC Berkeley, California, USA), Giorgio Giacinto (University of Cagliari, Italy), Juan Caballero (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain), Levente Buttyán (Budapest University of Technology, Hungary), Lorenzo Cavallaro (Royal Holloway, University of London, UK), Marco Gercke (Cybercrime Research Institute, Germany).

 

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari in cooperation with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Clarkson University is proud to announce the third edition of the Fingerprint Liveness Detection Competition 2013 that will be hosted by the International Conference on Biometrics in Madrid (4-7 June). The goal of the competition is to compare different methodologies for software-based fingerprint liveness detection with a common experimental protocol and data set. The ambition of the competition is to become the reference event for academic and industrial research.

 

MCS 2013 is the eleventh edition of the well-established series of meetings providing the leading international forum for the discussion of issues in multiple classifier systems and ensemble methods. The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers from diverse communities concerned with this topic, including pattern recognition, machine learning, neural network, data mining and statistics.
