Demo Videogallery

In this page you will find a videogallery regarding demonstrations of applications and research directions, realized by Pra Lab or in collaboration with the Ambient Intelligence Laboratory (AmILab).

People search with textual queries
The demo application presented in this video has been developed to show how the people search system we proposed works. This system is able to search for individuals that match a textual query about their clothing appearance, into a given set of images or videos. An example of such a query is: "people wearing a long sleeves, white upper garment, and shorts". Read more...

ILLBuster
ILLBuster is a project funded by the European Commission (DG-HOME), programme "Prevention of and Fight against Crime". Its goals is to develop an integrated system (ILLBuster) for the automatic discovery of illegal activities on the internet network. The system is thought to be a valuable tool to be used by LEAs in their activities of prevention of and fight against (cyber)crime. Read more...

Fake fingerprints and faces - making of
PRA Lab has developed a high-level skill on replicating fingerprints by very common materials, thus obtaining finger replica whose characteristic are similar to those of the finger skin and can deceive a standard fingerprint recognition system if it is not equipped of a particular liveness detection algorithm. Fingerprint Spoofing Challenge
This video shows the demo used in the Fingerprint Spoofing Challenge held in Madrid during the ICB 2013 conference (June, 4-7). The system is capable of verify a person claimed identity by comparing his fingerprint with a previously acquired one. But, if the liveness detection module is on, it is also able to detect a false fingerprint. Read more...

Real time person Re-Identification
It consists of recognising a person who was previously observed over a camera network, using soft cues like the clothing appearance. It can provide useful tools for video-surveillance (for example on-line tracking of individuals over different cameras; off-line retrieval of the video sequences containing a person of interest). It is able to re-identify people in real-time, combining soft cues extracted from both RGB and Depth domains. Read more...
